AMD Audit & Assurance Services provide independent and objective services to ensure the reliability of financial information, transactions and processes.  In addition to performing cost-effective audits, AMD provide clients with constructive independent advice on the day-to-day running of their businesses.  AMD adopt a communicative, hands-on approach in assisting clients and, being based in Bunbury, we are available to visit clients throughout the South West and Peel regions whenever required. 

Our clients range from large private companies, both locally and foreign owned, local governments, co-operatives, statutory authorities, not for profit entities and incorporated associations.

Statutory Audits

As Registered Company Auditors AMD are responsible for the audit and preparation of financial statements in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.  Statutory audits represent the core of our activities, and we adopt a practical approach in recommending system improvements.

In addition to full year statutory audits, AMD also undertakes half year reviews where required for lodgement with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

Internal Audits

AMD perform internal audits to ensure procedures in place are appropriate for the type and size of the business, and are operating effectively. 

Reports prepared by us on completion of our internal audit fieldwork outline any areas of concern and recommendations for improvement.  These matters are reconsidered on subsequent internal audit visits.

Compliance Audits

AMD perform compliance audits to determine whether certain financial or operating activities for a business conform to specified policies and procedures, rules, conditions and statutory regulations.

Reports prepared by us on completion of our compliance audit fieldwork outline any areas of non-compliance with stated policy and recommendations for improvement. 

Performance Audits

AMD undertakes performance audits to determine whether certain financial and operating activities for a business are effective and operating efficiently and economically.

Forensic & Investigative Accounting

AMD provides discreet, pro-active assistance relating to the investigation of unusual transactions or balances, in addition to reviews designed to prevent and detect fraud.

Management Assurance Services

AMD's internal audit and risk management reviews can be tailored to include financial and non-financial aspects critical to client operations. 

On completion of these reviews, AMD report to management on an exception basis, outlining areas of concern and remedial action required.

Corporate Governance

It is critical that Boards and governing bodies find the right balance between compliance, best practice and performance.  Our advice in this area is practical and relevant, and tailored to the nature of the organisation.

Transaction Service

AMD can independently review one-off transactions outside the ordinary course of business, including related technical advice.  Transactions typically include due diligence reviews, the issue or buyback of shares, revaluation of non-current assets and related party transactions.
