Maria Cavallo
Maria joined AMD in 2001 as a Graduate Auditor and progressed to being appointed a Director of the firm in 2012.
Maria holds a Bachelor of Business Degree with a double major in Accounting and Public Practice from Edith Cowan University. Maria qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004 and was recognised as a Registered Company Auditor by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission in January 2007.
Overseeing AMD’s Audit and Assurance team, Maria deals with both external and internal audits for a wide range of clients in various industries. These industries include large proprietary and foreign owned companies, cooperatives, local government, incorporated associations and not-for-profit organisations. Maria is also responsible for financial system reviews and can provide advice in relation to technical accounting issues as well as reporting requirements.
As the Director in charge of Human Resources, Maria supervises the growth and development of team members’ career paths and has initiated a number of developments in this area.
